Trailer + Tap Collaborate with Local Delaware and Philly Vendors for a Beachy Bohemian Photo Shoot

Updated: Oct 16, 2019

We have been patiently waiting for these photos to come in, and they are finally here, just in time for fall! We recently had the idea to get together and work with other local businesses, and put together all of our powers to curate a fall-inspired bohemian photo shoot. It took a lot of coordinating and planning, but everything turned out beautifully, and we even had stunning weather (thank goodness because we had no rain plan)!

We live in the Philly suburbs, but we have family that lives in Delaware, and spend almost every weekend of summer in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I am also originally from Delaware, so it holds a special place in my heart. It is our home away from home now and one of our favorite places to be. In the off-season, the town has a calm and quaint feeling to it, but in the busy season, it's filled with crowded streets and crowded bars. There's a mood for each of these two settings, so we think it's the best of both worlds!

The shoot took place at the Indian River Life Saving Station, which is a Delaware State park. It is right off of the beach, and is a great space for a beach wedding as it blocks the wind with it's barn structures, but still has sand all over to fulfill your beachy wedding dreams.

Katina with A Sweet Affair Events based out of Bethany Beach, DE, helped coordinate the entire day, and gave us the direction we needed to execute the shoot perfectly. She took initiative where needed, and was super fun and helpful. If you need someone to help you plan an event - she's your girl.

All photography was done by Janae Lin Photography. Janae is amazing at what she does (as you'll see) and captured every aspect of the day perfectly. She was great behind the camera, and knew exactly what shots to get (with the bomb lighting).

We of course had our mobile bar Trailer + Tap on site, pouring red wine and beer. Our wall divider and rattan chair are both items that you can rent with the trailer, and we love the added touch of florals to our birch!

The rest of the furniture and pieces all came from Hunt & Lane, which is is a local shop right off of the main Avenue in Rehoboth. They source some of the most stunning pieces. In the off season, they travel to Java, Indonesia, and hand pick items to bring home and design into one of a kind pieces. One of their most jaw-dropping items are their tree stump end tables. They uproot these old stumps from Indonesia, and then import them into the US and re-purpose them. The also have lounge pieces as well.

The florals came from Bleached Butterfly out of Berlin, MD. Their shop has a very bohemian-eclectic vibe to it, and is a must visit. The arrangements Autumn put together were a boho pampas girl's dream, and I've previously described them as sexy (yes, flowers can be sexy - these are proof).

The dress came from Coral Cove, which is my favorite store on the Ave in Rehoboth. It has wallpaper galore, candles that will make you swoon, and so. many. cute. clothes. Stop in there if you haven't! We wanted to go with a simple beachy look over a super bridal gown, and they had just what we needed! A tight white maxi with a high neck line and rib cutout.

Calligraphy was done by Sweet Lou Designs, who is Wilmington, DE based, and has ninja skills when it comes to creating menus, bar signs, invites, etc. She also hosts workshop classes so you can try to perfect your calligraphy skills like her.

Dessert was provided by CupKate's Cake Bakery out of Wilmington, DE as well. Her cakes are more than food - they are gorgeous works of art that you almost feel bad for eating (but then you eat it and are happy you did).

Emboldened Hair Artistry actually did my hair for my wedding, and Meghan was so amazing that I had to bring her into this shoot. She braids like a goddess and makes it look effortless.

For the models, I had some of my friends join in on the fun. One of my best friends and her boyfriend were our bride and groom (they are dang good looking), and I thought it would be fun to incorporate a girls shoot into the mix as well (because #girlpower). Most shoots are couples only, and sometimes they get repetitive. So I bribed my sisters and friends with some free booze and before I knew it we had 5 girls ready to model for us!

The entire day went without a hitch (#mobilebar pun intended), and now we have these amazing pictures to share with all of you!
